Anew MedSpa's Botulinum Toxin (Botox) treatments are used esthetically to decrease the appearance of aging by reducing muscle movement. Areas of treatment include; the glabellar area (the 11's/frown lines between the eyes), frontalis muscles (forehead lines), crow’s feet, chin dimples, radial lip lines (smoker’s lines) and nose lines. Botox can also be used to reduce the muscle mass in the masseters (jaw line) for a slimming facial esthetic result.
Generally, results are visible within two to ten days. To reduce the possibility of bruising/swelling, it is recommended to avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours and aspirin/anti-inflammatory medications for a period of two weeks prior to the procedure. As always, consult your physician before stopping any medications.
The most common side effects of Botox injections are bruising, redness, and swelling. Other, rare side effects are possible and will be reviewed by the treating physician. To avoid adverse reactions/results, do not manipulate the treated area for 2 hours after injections and maintain an upright position.
The esthetic effects of Botox typically last three to four months. As the treated muscles regain movement, lines and wrinkles will begin to reappear and require retreatment. Over time, these lines and wrinkles should appear less noticeable due to training the treated muscles to relax. To achieve optimum results, combine Botox injections with Dermal Filler treatments and a regimen of Microdermabrasion to get that picture perfect look you've always dreamed about.

If you are looking for a non-surgical face lift or you just want to smooth out a few fine lines or fill in deep set wrinkles, Anew MedSpa's Dermal Filler treatments are for you. Millions of people use Dermal Fillers to achieve a more relaxed and smooth facial appearance while still having the freedom of expression.
As skin ages, it begins to lose collagen filled with hyaluronic acid (HA). Collagen and HA add structure and volume to the face, therefore a lack of HA causes the skin to sag and wrinkle - that's where Anew Medspa's Dermal Fillers come into play.
Dermal Fillers are smooth injectable gels made from naturally occurring hyaluronic acid. At Anew MedSpa we use Dermal Fillers to add volume to weakened facial features and to stimulate collagen growth. Each dermal filler is unique in its own way but similar in two. First, they plump skin and gently lift it to restore collagen loss due to the normal aging process. Secondly, Dermal Fillers motivate the body to create its own natural collagen and restore your face to a more natural, youthful appearance.
Dermal Fillers that Anew MedSpa offers are approved by the FDA, minimally invasive and very safe. As with any procedure, there are possible risks, the most common being post-procedure bruising and swelling which are usually very minimal and resolve quickly. Anew MedSpa only uses the best Dermal Fillers on the market, such as Juvederm, Radiesse, Voluma and Belotero.
Anew MedSpa's Dermal filler treatments typically take 20-40 minutes and the amount of Dermal Filler needed will depend on volume loss and the areas you would like to restore to its natural beauty. Dermal Fillers achieve the best results when augmented with Botulinum Toxin (Botox) injections and a regimen of Microdermabrasion treatments to give you that picture perfect look. You will see results immediately after treatment.
Sculptra is a poly-L-lactic acid injectable that is very different then dermal fillers. Sculptra helps you gradually restore the collagen that you had naturally in your mid and lower face. Sculptra is best utilized in individuals who are in the 40-60 age range although particular applications do vary. See the below picture to demonstrate the natural loss of collagen from our 20s to our 40s. Sculptra works by stimulating collagen growth and while results are not immediate they can last longer than the other fillers.
Sculptra was FDA approved to be utilized for cosmetic use in the United States in 2009. It is manufactured in a laboratory and contains no animal products or human DNA. IT has been utilized in Europe, Canada and many other countries for over 10+ years.
Where do you see improvement with Sculptra?
Sculptra works better than most fillers to give overall added volume in the temples, lower and mid cheeks, and defining the chin & jawline.
How Long Do The Results Last?
Upon completion after a series of injections (typically 3-4 sessions) every 6 weeks, results should last up to 2 years. After injection, it can take 45-90 days to see the full results. Before and after photos are taken to show the re-volumizing change that occurs in the face. Maintenance injections are usually performed after the 2 years have passed. There is variability knowing that everyone’s body is different.
Individuals who should not receive the re-volumizing injectable of sculptra include those who are pregnant, nursing, are allergic to lidocaine or have auto-immune diseases such as Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Sjogren’s Syndrome or develop keloid scarring. Side effects of receiving the treatment include bruising, swelling, redness, discomfort at the injection sites.
You will undergo a consultation to further assess your candidacy and review in more detail the risks and benefits of this procedure.
